Looking at Pilotwings Resort – The Perfect 100%

Mr B.F.F achieved all Red Stars in every Mission possible. He reaches the incredible feat legitimately

We are looking at another 3DS our Team Members own and can master. Today is Pilotwings Resort, a port of the Island Flyover game from Wii Sports Resort to the 3DS. Our Main Team Member, of course, Mr B.F.F has played the game and has significantly improved on the missions. The harder missions tested Mr B.F.F’s patience in the game but he manages to breeze through after a few mistakes.

In this post, this will cover a part of the tough aspects and some cool parts of the game. There are two modes and that there are some unlockables along the way. You can see how Mr B.F.F managed to get the full 100% in the game. Let’s check out today’s Highlights.

Completed the Mission Mode on Pilotwings Resort

The Mission Mode is the most entertaining and complex feature of the game. It tasks you with Mission ranging from Easy to Hard. Each mission is ranked out of three stars with Three Red Stars as the highest. You would level up on your Sky Member Card depending on how much stars you achieve and met the requirement. This will also unlock the next tier of Missions. You start at the Training Mode and go up to Bronze. The Highest is Platinum. This is where Mr B.F.F immediately aced the Missions in that Class.

Training Class is considered to be the very easiest set of Missions. The Top 3 Missions where you fly for rings and pop balloons is the easy ones. It will give you a Perfect if you get them all. Three Red Stars for those as they are Perfect Missions. Bronze and Silver are the intermediate typed missions while Gold and Platinum are the hardest as the final Class concludes with the Super Aircraft.

It only gets harder where you combine getting points and landing on the pad upon the Missions. It needs to be done perfectly and within the time range in order to get the Perfect Game. Also had to collect Guide Dots, Tokens and Rings and Speed through in order to get a Perfect. In addition, some side challenges are added as well.

Upon completing all of the Missions…

Mr B.F.F has overcome those grueling challenges and managed to ace a Perfect on ALL challenges. You can see the video of Mr B.F.F completing them here. In addition, once you complete the Missions, you get a special Diorama if you get Three Stars and Unlock the Super Aircrafts to play in all of the Missions.

Mr B.F.F surely believed that the Missions were challenging, including the ones where they use the Super Aircrafts, fast paced and tricky to maintain and collect all objectives perfectly. It took a few tries for Mr B.F.F to then master including the Longer Missions.

Free Flight Mode – Completed all 100% of the items…

100% of the Items are Completed.

In Free Flight Mode, this version of the game add more to the Free Play already. In this Mode, you can explore around the island on the Day, Evening and Night. Also scattered around the course are Guide Rings, Balloons and Mii Trophies. All Free Play but still on a Time Limit. Mr B.F.F also looked into that mode and has not only completed the Mission Mode but also completed the Free Flight Mode. Upon clearing a specific amount of the items, the game gives you a unique diorama.

As you can probably see, Mr B.F.F has completed all of the items in the game and thus unlocking all of the Dioramas. The Dioramas in the game are unique statues showing the Mii in it as well. It was tough to find and probably more harder since there are more items scattered in the game then the Wii Sports Resort version.

Also to note, Mr B.F.F liked his Mii when it appeared on the Dioramas but it took some time to unlock them but felt it was very simple. It took more time to get 100% on that mode and was a little longer than Mission Mode which he also got 100% but it depended on how well Mr B.F.F can find the items.

Some interesting thoughts on this mode…..

Mr B.F.F enjoyed the Free Flight Mode part since it adds more fun on the side and is comparable to the Mission Mode but easier since you are not tasked to get a Perfect but rather finding all of the elements in the game. You also get to play with the Super Aircraft to help assist in getting the items further.

Upon completing the Free Flight Mode, Mr B.F.F achieved 100% on Pilotwings Resort and the entire game. Mr B.F.F was pleased with the outcome and that he was able to get a 100% save file of his own. Another player who completed Mission Mode but not the Free Flight Mode was Macaroni. He still has yet to collect all of the items on that mode but he was able to master the Missions perfectly as well.

Conclusion and Thoughts of the Game:

Was Pilotwings Resort a great game for Mr B.F.F? It got him to grind well to unlock everything. It also took him a few days to complete the Mission mode and Free Flight Mode which makes the game challenging. The time and effort brought to complete the game is an enjoyable one. Mr B.F.F considers this game a recommend if you like to try to get a Perfect with your controls you have. It’s more simple to Wii Sports Resort Flyover but also adds more objectives and items to it to make it more unique. It’s up to you if you think you will enjoy it.
