Finally! The 10,000 VR Grind on MK8 Is Successfully Completed!

Mr B.F.F, and also Super Gameboy have reached 10,000 VR on Mario Kart 8.

And so, the grind was much more anticipated very quickly. Mr B.F.F and S. Gameboy completed their respective VR grind and reached 10,000 VR overall in Online Play on Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U.

It was on the same day where the feat happened. Both members raced hard with Quintin in the stands. As soon as they reached their respective targets, they have delivered a fine performance to reach 10,000 VR. It was months since they both were on the VR Grind to get there.

After Mr B.F.F delivered such a strong performance to the end of the run, he had the most wins over losses in the end. That, after some lackluster performances got the better of the Canadian until he improved. He went through a couple of practice sessions, saw a return to form once after delivering some incredible steering and improved performances.

With the strongest form out there, he sought to reach 10,000 VR. When it was down to Mount Wario, he clutched a position well enough that he would punch his ticket to earning enough VR. He had, and successfully climbed up to 10,000 VR.

An overview of the final moments of the Run to 10,000 VR…

An achievement, Mr B.F.F finally gotten and had the confidence to do so during the week. Once after, Super Gameboy also achieved 10K VR once after by completing positively in a few more races to ensure he had done the same as well.

The improvement was his skills. After a slight loss of form in the darker days of grinding, the light shined as Mr B.F.F pushed himself to practice and even take things up a notch by playing as hard as he can. He took times where he had to find a good lobby and work with it by himself.

Mr B.F.F reached out to his Team Members for cheering and motivation. Quintin was one of the most energetic players out there who demonstrated great enthusiasm, sportsmanship and the confidence for us during the Grind.

His years of experience and the fact that, he holds over 50,000 VR on the Wii U and 37,000 VR on the Deluxe version is just incredible. Just him, playing with us, gave us the confidence to reach 10,000 VR too.

When practice and an even stronger performance is key, Mr B.F.F was thankful…

Mr B.F.F spoke to the Team B.F.F Gamers’ press about the lengthy grind. “The last few days have just been wonderful. I’ve gotten much better with the skills and it showed as I blazed from 9,500 to 9,800. Then the next day, I saw 10,000 VR. So the VR Grind has really paid off in the end. Much respect to my fellow participants and those around the world who participated.”

“And of course, this would have not been done with out everyone. For those who are getting close or just starting a big VR Grind, I wish everyone all the best of luck out there. There’s still a lot of time to keep grinding hard until the Wii U Online Servers shut down in April 2024.”

Mr B.F.F also thanks his fellow Team Members for playing along, and being there during the VR Grind. “I would also like to thank my fellow Team Members, Quintin, S. Gameboy and Marcus for being there during those great days. “

“And many congrats to S. Gameboy for also reaching the achievement with me as well. He definitely deserves it as well. Wishing him to get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. He’s been thinking hard about it but with confidence, I’m sure he would be interested.”

Will Mr B.F.F keep playing on Mario Kart 8 after a successful grind to 10,000 VR throughout the year?

After the grind to 10,000 VR. Mr B.F.F saw the opportunity to keep going with a few extra races, and he is able to maintain his form through a satisfactory result. He earned an extra 149 VR in the process. His total is now 10,149 VR.

Mr B.F.F has stated that he will keep going and helping those who really needs all the support in finding a lobby. That will be occasional within the three months left of the online servers still active. Mr B.F.F also wants to carry the legacy over to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Switch and also keep it going from there too. He has almost reached 2,000 VR to start off with.

He has also added: “I will be playing the game with friends or with my Team when we can all get along for Fun and Games day. I know we’ve been doing a lot of Online with Friends so Mario Kart 8 would be a great game to play while it lasts.”

In the image above, you can see Mr B.F.F’s stats. That includes his favorite Character, Vehicle, Tires and Glider. Mr B.F.F uses the Blue Falcon vehicle in which he used it 95% of the time in all of the races he’s done online. He concluded his run with a 2690-2628 record, that is a 51% average overall. The run to 10K VR was not easy at all.
